Xtreme Karting held its third Team Endurance Championship event on Monday 3rd April, with 6 teams competing in another very exciting and close race!
Following a 20 minute qualifying session, the following fastest laps dictated the grid order.

From the start, Tei wan shu maintained the lead, with Team Extreme and Team Tyremaster close behind.
Following discussion with the teams it was agreed to change the format slightly to require each team to complete a minimum of 11 pit stops / driver change overs (a team of 6 would therefore have each driver out twice). The team tactics for driver changeovers was critical in this race, with Team Tyremaster pitting first to take advantage of some backmarkers! After the first set of pitstops Team Tyremaster had moved up to 2nd place!
The race was extremely close, with just 4 laps between 1st and last place after 1 hour of racing!
At the end of the 2 hour period Team Tei Wan Shu managed to pull 2 laps ahead, with Team Tyremaster and Team Extreme battling it out in the final few minutes to see who could take 2nd place! Team Extreme incurred a 1 lap penalty after an "ambitious" overtaking manouvere resulted in a warning flag allowing Team Tyremaster to take the chequered flag in 2nd place! Third place went to Team Extreme, fourth place went to "Last Again" (who improved significantly from their usual last place!), fifth place went to the "75's" and 6th place went to newcomers "Making up numbers"
All the teams agreed the new pit stop format worked extremely well and will continue in the May Team Race!
